Rita Rebelo de Andrade
b. 1992 Lisboa — living in ParisBorn in Lisbon, Portugal, Rita is a visual and multimedia artist, graduated in Communication Design at Faculty of Fine Arts of Lisbon and has a Master's in Scenic Arts from Nova University of Lisbon with an academic internship at Assembler du Dehors association in Paris with the artist Carolina E. Santo. Rita studied Multimedia Art at the Academy of Arts and Design in Ljubljana – Slovenia – in the Erasmus programme and later lived in London where dedicated herself mostly to jazz and painting.
In 2016 Rita was invited by the artist Vhils to start a new project — the Festival Iminente, and then worked at Underdogs Gallery together with Vhils Studio and Solid Dogma. Later on was involved in the creation of the Cultural Centre Brotéria in Lisbon, teaming up with the Jesuits community.
Currently Rita lives in Paris to continue her artistic practice based on individual research as well as continued collaborations with local and international artists in a multidisciplinary artistic practice.
